Job Description

Senior Manager, Data Management

The Senior Manager, Data Management is responsible for defining and implementing the Enterprise Data Quality Framework and managing strategic data and information assets used to deliver value to the business. They work in close partnership with Data Stewards, Data Owners, Business Partners and Technology Data Engineering on defining data quality processes and rules. This role also works closely with others in the Chief Data Analytics Office to support end-to-end data management, specifically the capture, quality, storage, movement, and consumption of data. The Sr. Manager, Data Management manages a team of data and information analysts responsible for the quality and overall management of Enterprise data and information assets.

Position Responsibilities:
Data Product Architecture and Delivery
  • Leads a team of data professionals who focus on quality within the data products for used by data practitioners across the enterprise (based on new and established consumption patterns and business requirements).
  • Consults with business stakeholders to deliver information assets (i.e., data, reports, insights) with focus on data quality.
  • Collaborates with Technology Data Engineering on logical architectural data designs to ensure data quality is considered for structured data assets.
  • Informs the Data CoE of data integration and data quality opportunities using available data assets to support long term data strategies and CDAO target state vision.
Data Management
  • Responsible for the full lifecycle Data Quality management of enterprise data products and information assets needed to support business decision making.
  • Responsible for adhering to data governance policies, standards and guidelines of owned data products and assets (cataloguing, data quality management, access, and use).
  • Owns Data Defect management and Remediation activities for the Enterprise.
  • Serves as an active CDAO leadership representative on Enterprise Data governance practitioner committees and forums that support the consistent application of standards across all enterprise data.
Team Development and Culture
  • Serves as Subject Matter Expert across multiple data domains to support data quality and defect management.
  • Builds a team of highly skilled professionals with strong data and analytical proficiency.
  • Develops team members to enable the use of increasingly advanced data and analytical techniques to solve business problems.
  • Selects, motivates, and retains high performing talent.
  • Manages and develops team cultivating a spirit of one team with shared goals and objectives.
