Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and optimize large-scale ingest systems within a Cloud-based Big Data setting
  • Manage all stages of the data lifecycle efficiently, from planning to final display
  • Develop custom solutions for data ingestion and utilization from diverse sources
  • Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to enhance operational methods
  • Articulate software solution risks based on specific environments
  • Build and maintain comprehensive Data Layer documentation for accessibility

Requirements and Skills

  • Proficiency in Amazon Web Services (e.g. AWS EC2, RDS, S3)
  • Strong background in data analysis, Java development, and SQL/database management
  • Experience with Java technologies, RESTful APIs, Hadoop, and Kafka
  • Familiarity with ETL tasks in a Linux environment
  • Minimum 2 years of software development experience

Security Clearance

  • TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of Elasticsearch and Gradle

Physical Requirements

  • Use office machinery and occasionally move within the office premises
