DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

About the Position:
As the Development Manager, you will be instrumental in our mission, collaborating closely with senior management and development colleagues to shape and implement strategies. Your responsibilities include leading fundraising campaigns, devising innovative marketing approaches, and establishing strong relationships with donors and partners to drive significant outcomes and ensure financial stability.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute fundraising campaigns effectively for client organizations.
- Develop and implement dynamic marketing strategies to engage potential supporters and enhance fundraising opportunities.
- Identify and secure funds from diverse donor pools, establishing vital financial resources.
- Cultivate strategic relationships with industry leaders, society members, and funding partners for sustained support.
- Communicate seamlessly with client managers to align fundraising efforts with goals.
- Oversee clients' development budgets and ambitious fundraising targets for optimal impact.
- Create persuasive proposals and grants to secure essential funding opportunities.
- Collaborate with client organizations and advisors to implement policies and operations.
- Attend client society meetings and occasional donor visits.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of successful fundraising experience, with a focus on grant writing and securing substantial funds.
- Proven track record in healthcare or medical fundraising, achieving revenue goals and metrics.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and self-motivation.
- Ability to excel in fast-paced environments and manage multiple tasks and stakeholders effectively.
- Independent initiative, effective time management, and task prioritization to meet deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills, including public speaking.
- Proficiency in surgical/medical terminology preferred.
- Readiness to travel for client meetings and events at least 4 times a year.

Compensation & Benefits:
The salary range is $90,000 to $100,000, with variations based on education, experience, and location. The organization provides a comprehensive benefits package, including paid holidays, sick and vacation leave, 401k with employer match, and medical/dental coverage. Additionally, training opportunities are available with nonprofit and association management experts. This hybrid position in Los Angeles requires periodic travel.
