The Program Manager leads the Food Access team to build collaborative partnerships with various stakeholders, ensuring programs and events run smoothly to provide dignified service to those in need.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Cooperate with staff and partners to address challenges and establish best practices
  • Manage the development and evaluation of food programs
  • Oversee logistical aspects of program operations
  • Supervise staff and provide administrative oversight
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community partners


Applicants need to be located near the Vermont Foodbank offices.


The Program Manager is crucial in promoting equity and racial justice within the organization, requiring a commitment from all team members to foster an inclusive and diverse environment.


Requirements:

  • 5 years of relevant program management experience
  • Experience in staff supervision and project management
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
  • Familiarity with low-income demographics

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Effective conflict resolution and interpersonal skills
  • Strategic thinking and adaptability


The role demands excellent organization, time management, and a commitment to diversity and inclusion. Technical skills in MS Office and advanced Excel are required. A Vermont Driver's License is mandatory.
