Responsibilities:
  • Provide effective patient care directly to patients or through telephone management
  • Prepare patient schedules and medical records following standard procedures
  • Escort patients to the exam room, establish reason for patient visit, and prepare patient accordingly
  • Perform a variety of clinical functions, such as measuring temperature, pulse rates, blood pressure, and documenting information during patient visits
  • Perform point of care testing functions and quality control, document testing in patient charts, and maintain laboratory logs
  • Notify patients of normal laboratory results and report abnormal laboratory results under the instruction of licensed staff members
  • Complete prescription refills following standard procedures and check appropriate notes, laboratory results, and orders
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program
  • Active and unrestricted RN license in Massachusetts
  • Active BLS/CPR certification or ability to obtain within 90 days
