Responsible for designing, implementing, and managing compensation programs for all affiliates of the organization. Ensures compensation structure is competitive and aligned with business goals.

Responsibilities:
Essential Job Functions:

1. Design and Develop Compensation Programs: Create and update compensation policies, guidelines, and frameworks. Develop and implement salary structures, pay bands, and incentive plans that attract and retain talent, are consistent with market trends, cost-effective, and internally equitable.

2. Work collaboratively with leadership, internal and external stakeholders: Provide guidance regarding compensation-related matters, including pay structures, salary adjustments, and bonus programs. Communicate compensation policies and changes effectively to ensure understanding and transparency.

3. Salary Surveys and Market Analysis: Conduct regular market research and salary surveys to benchmark the organization's compensation practices against industry standards. Analyze market data to ensure the organization remains competitive in attracting and retaining top talent.

4. Job Evaluation and Classification: Evaluate job positions within the organization, determine their relative value, and assign appropriate salary grades or levels.

5. Compliance and Legal Requirements: Stay updated on labor laws, regulations, and compliance requirements related to compensation practices. Ensure that all compensation programs adhere to legal standards and internal policies.

6. Compensation Analytics and Reporting: Collect and analyze compensation data to identify trends, gaps, and areas for improvement. Prepare reports and presentations on compensation-related metrics, including salary budgets, cost projections, and compensation metrics.

Education
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field is required.
Experience
  • 6+ years of previous experience in compensation management or a related field is required.
  • Experience with job evaluation, salary surveys, incentive plan design, development of ranges and pay practices/policy, compensation analytics, and effective compensation programs for recruiting and retention highly valued.
  • Experience managing staff preferred.
  • Experience in Healthcare is highly valued.
License/Certifications
  • Professional certification in compensation management is preferred
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
  • Strong knowledge of compensation principles, practices, and market trends is necessary when developing compensation programs. Familiarity with relevant labor laws and regulations to ensure compliance with legal requirements is essential.
  • Analytical Skills: Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation is crucial for conducting market research, evaluating job positions, and analyzing compensation incentive and turnover data.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary to effectively interact with leadership. The ability to present complex compensation information in a clear and concise manner is important.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: The ability to efficiently identify and address compensation-related challenges, disparities, and retention issues.
