Nesco Resource is seeking an Electrical Engineer with hardware design experience to work for one our clients based in Shelton, CT.

Summary:
As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for the development of embedded electrical assemblies for the Broadcast and Cinema Video Markets. This will include electrical component selection, datasheet analysis, component testing, design creation, documentation assembly, and design testing. This role reports to the Electrical Team Leader.

Main Responsibilities/Tasks:

  • Work in both co-located and distributed self-organizing teams developing embedded hardware for Broadcast and Cinema Video applications. Applications include LED studio lighting and high-power battery systems.
  • Perform tasks including requirements analysis, operational concept development, hardware design and development, design reviews, failure analysis and general problem solving/troubleshooting.
  • Hardware design will include circuit analysis, schematic capture, PCBA layout, component selection, and assembly documentation creation.
  • Collaborate closely with teammates, making and keeping daily commitments, and demonstrating your accomplishments to the company on a biweekly basis.
  • Demonstrate, understand, and apply new technology and approaches to solving complex problems.
  • Possible travel to Los Angeles, CA area (1 – 2 times a year).
Knowledge/Skills:
Essential:
  • 2+ years of experience with Product Development and working in a team environment.
  • Experience with troubleshooting electrical circuits.
  • Experience designing embedded system hardware in schematic and PCB layout methods.
  • Excellent communicator.
  • Exposure to circuit board design software such as Eagle, Altium, KiCad, Cadence OrCAD PCB Designer, PADS PCB or any others.
Education and Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering
