Some Key Responsibilities:

  • Advocates for clients within NorthCare and the community, assisting in recovery and independent living processes, facilitating peer support groups, and supporting the development of self-advocacy skills.
  • Complete assessments, develop care management plans, and track outcome measures for clients to integrate physical and behavioral healthcare needs effectively.
  • Maintains professional competency through ongoing education, training, and compliance with certification requirements and agency policies.

Qualifications

Position Requirements:

  • Meets ODMHSAS criteria for Peer Recovery Support Specialist and obtain required certifications within specified timeframes.
  • Minimum of one year experience in a mental health or related field.
  • Proficiency in MS Word processing software, intermediate computer skills, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • High degree of flexibility and efficiency in performing job responsibilities.
  • Access to reliable transportation and ability to travel locally as needed.
  • Maintains CPR, First Aid, and other required certifications, with willingness to obtain additional training as necessary.
