Security Specialist

The Bizzell Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Officer to join our team. As a critical member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our Center.
Key Responsibilities:- Enforce laws, rules, and policies within the scope of authority, maintaining a high level of professionalism and attention to detail.
- Conduct regular foot patrols to identify potential safety hazards and disturbances, providing excellent communication skills to visitors, student employees, and staff.
- Assist with building security and safety checks to ensure compliance with regulations, investigating complaints and incidents, and preparing written reports as required.
- Provide transportation services as needed, issuing visitor passes and temporary parking permits, and assisting staff in quelling disturbances and maintaining a safe environment.
- Conduct daily briefings with security cadets to review assignments and procedures, providing written and oral reports to management and staff.
- Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and up-to-date, conducting vehicle checks to ensure compliance with regulations, and adhering to property control policies and procedures.
- Meet performance standard goals and objectives, complying with all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree preferred.
- Two years of security, law enforcement, military, or related experience required.
- Knowledge of basic security procedures and operating security and surveillance equipment.
- High level of good judgment and observation skills.
- At least one year of experience in a residential living setting and a background in youth programs.
- Safety-related training preferred.
- Effective Communication: Presents information clearly and concisely, and demonstrates a high standard of communication skills.
- Organization of Work: Demonstrates the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, and implements key principles of time management and task allocation.
- Professionalism: Demonstrates professional interpersonal skills, and abides by The Bizzell Group's Healthy Workplace Environment policy.
