Bizzell is currently in search of a Practical Nursing Specialist (LPN) to undertake responsibilities associated with illness prevention and the promotion of health in alignment with governmental and managerial directives, focusing on the needs of students and the objectives of Job Corps. This role will be full-time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute duties under the guidance of the Health and Wellness Manager.
- Ensure adherence to physician orders within the Wellness Center and the care of all patients as prescribed.
- Maintain patient charts and compile medical and dental records for students who have exited the program.
- Inform residential staff of patients who have been discharged.
- Keep a record of all admissions and discharges.
- Compile various logs, records, and reports (e.g., wellness usage, examinations, and medication administration).
- Document all communications with on-call medical personnel.
- Administer prescribed medications.
- Assist with preliminary examinations, sick calls, and wellness care.
- Serve as an on-call nurse as scheduled.
- Work towards meeting performance management standards.
- Ensure compliance with property control protocols.
- Maintain a clean and safe health facility at all times.
- Monitor areas of responsibility to guarantee timely and high-quality services.
- Strive to achieve performance standards goals.
- Adhere to the CDSS plan and Code of Conduct system daily.
- Follow all required property control policies and procedures.
- Comply with all relevant guidelines and regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness in all areas and adhere to safety practices.
- Exemplify and uphold The Bizzell Group's core values and operational principles.
- Model, mentor, and monitor appropriate Career Success Standards.
- Assist students in enhancing their employability through ongoing support.
- Participate in mandatory staff training as required.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) along with a diploma from an accredited Practical Nursing Program.
- Current LPN license from the State and current BLS/CPR certification.
- Valid State Driver's License.
- One year of relevant experience and/or training is required.
- To succeed in this role, an individual must effectively perform each essential duty.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with patients and medical staff.
- Strong organizational skills when managing medical records and patient information.
- Ability to demonstrate patience and compassion when providing nursing services to patients experiencing negative emotions.
- Detail-oriented regarding patients' vital signs, dietary needs, medication schedules, etc.
