Job Description

The primary role of the Purchasing Manager will be to develop purchasing strategies and best practices. Includes leading a small team to provide efficient, time sensitive purchasing of goods and services for manufactured- to- order and engineered- to- order products.

Job Responsibilities

  • Implement purchasing strategies and procedures
  • Lead and train a small team of purchasing agents
  • Process and review purchase orders
  • Manage inventory levels to meet manufacturing needs
  • Build partnerships with suppliers
  • Communicate with inside and outside associates to achieve results

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in purchasing or related field
  • 3+ years' experience or proven leadership ability
  • ERP, MRP software experience a plus
  • Bilingual in German a plus
