Job Overview

Position Summary
As a key member of the procurement team, you will oversee designated purchasing categories to facilitate effective and economical operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee purchasing activities to ensure compliance with quality, cost, and delivery standards while adhering to procurement policies.
  • Engage directly with suppliers to foster strong partnerships and negotiate advantageous terms.
  • Monitor supplier performance, negotiate pricing, and analyze inventory trends to optimize stock levels.
  • Coordinate and manage the logistics of goods transport, collaborating with warehouse teams for efficient receiving processes.
  • Evaluate stock quality and address discrepancies with suppliers and management promptly.
  • Work closely with internal teams, including operations, finance, and supply chain, to align procurement strategies with organizational goals.
  • Research and assess potential new suppliers, onboarding them as necessary.
  • Process requisitions and provide timely updates to management regarding order statuses.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to enhance procurement processes and improve operational efficiency.
  • Adhere to all company policies and health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, finance, or a related field.
  • Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CSCP, CPSM, CPIM) is advantageous.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a purchasing or production planning role.
  • Experience in the energy sector is preferred.
Job Requirements
  • Ability to pass a drug screening and background check.
  • Occasional domestic travel may be required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems, particularly Excel.
  • Strong critical thinking and negotiation skills, with experience in procuring highly engineered products.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Strong follow-up and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated with the capacity to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Capability to meet or exceed departmental performance standards.
  • Willingness to adapt and be cross-trained in various job functions.
