Overview: As the IT Security Administrator at PeoplesBank, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding our applications, data, platforms, and environments from unauthorized access. Utilizing advanced security monitoring tools and techniques, you will analyze data, detect suspicious activity, and mitigate risks and vulnerabilities effectively.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Implement security measures to protect bank systems in alignment with IT management directives and under the guidance of the Risk Oversight Group (ROG) and the bank's Information Security Program.
  • Monitor and update firewall, anti-malware, MFA, and secure email gateway systems on a daily basis, collaborating with relevant vendors as necessary.
  • Address security requests promptly through the Bank's service management platform while adhering to defined SLAs.
  • Respond to and mitigate computer security breaches, viruses, and other cyber threats.
  • Enforce computer security policies and procedures to maintain the internal and external integrity of the Bank's systems.
  • Follow industry best practices such as NIST and FS-ISAC for IT security standards.
  • Collaborate with the IT Security Officer to apply software patches and upgrades, documenting critical patch details effectively.
  • Work alongside subject matter experts to investigate and resolve security incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and implement problem resolutions.
  • Review security system logs and alerts using SIEM tools, collaborating with security team members and vendors to ensure timely resolution of security events.
  • Support the ROG and IT Security Officer in conducting IT security assessments and disaster recovery testing for the Bank.
  • Engage with Information Technology vendors to deploy and maintain security systems for the Bank.
  • Stay informed about the latest cyber threats and vulnerabilities to proactively protect bank systems from potential attacks.
  • Complete annual compliance training, adhering to all bank, federal, and state regulations and policies.

Qualifications: Successful candidates for this role should possess a four-year degree or equivalent experience coupled with two to four years of relevant experience. A strong technical background and expertise in IT security are essential for this position.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Azure and Office 365 platforms.

Certifications and Computer Skills: Security+ certification or equivalent is preferred. Proficiency in Information System Security, firewalls, SIEM, intrusion detection/protection, and vulnerability assessment tools is required.

Work Environment and Physical Demands: This role demands working in a fast-paced office environment with potential flexibility in schedules to accommodate business needs. Candidates must be able to perform various physical tasks and focus on computer-related activities for extended periods.
