  • Supports the implementation of program curriculum and work with program staff to develop sequential learning goals and objectives for all activities
Ensures the integration of literacy and STEMbased learning and enrichment through sequenced, curriculumbased programming Provide coaching and modelling and ensures that implementation of program activities aligns with demonstrated best practices Facilitates professional development trainings and workshops for frontline staff Researches best practices in afterschool programming and brings new ideas to program staff Identifies and develops supplementary resources to support students' learning and interests Meet development and academic standards for instruction. tutoring, mentoring and coaching demonstrate competence in analyzing students' needs.
Help participants develop necessary skills for academic success. Actively participate in PD training sessions, designated meetings, and special events, as appropriate. Attends and Assist in organization of required meetings and staff development workshops.

Requirements**:

Master's Degree in education or other related area preferred. Bachelors a related field Preferred Minimum of two years' teaching experience Knowledge of NYS common core learning standards Experience in developing and reviewing STEM curriculum, lesson plans, experience coaching teachers and/or facilitators preferred in school day or afterschool setting. Exceptional group management, problemsolving and conflict resolution skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Experience working with children from diverse background Possess an understanding and knowledge of public school functions, Common Core, and specific knowledge in ageappropriate teachings and curriculum. General knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Knowledge of Access, Adobe PageMaker and Photoshop preferred. Knowledge of DYCD, DOE, and DOH mandates
