Centra Healthcare Solutions is seeking a qualified Inclusive Education Specialist who holds valid certification in the state of practice to engage in a school environment. This role is a full-time contractual position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement lesson plans and educational programs tailored to established Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Direct the educational journey towards the accomplishment of curriculum objectives; set clear goals for all lessons, units, and projects, and effectively communicate these aims to students.
- Assess and evaluate both the academic and social competencies of students.
- Oversee the formulation of IEPs for students in their classroom, regularly analyzing and updating these plans based on student evaluations and annual reviews.
- Maintain open lines of communication with fellow educators and parents regarding student needs and progress.
- Review and analyze student documentation, including records, assessment results, IEPs, and relevant reports.
Qualifications:
- Certification in Special Education from NY is mandatory.
- Proficient understanding of IEPs is essential.
- Applicants must not have been employed by NYC DOE within the past year.
- B-2 certification is required.
