Electrical Technician Job Description:

PrideStaff is seeking an Electrical Technician to join a global leader's production team. Responsibilities include integration, assembly, testing, crating, packing, and shipping of industrial X-Ray systems.

The ideal candidate should have expertise in electrical wiring, handling BOMS, MRP or ERP systems, PLC/PC Programming, and Distributed Control Theory. This is a full-time, direct hire position based in East Haven, CT.

Electrical Technician Responsibilities:

  • Fabricate & Assemble Electrical Control & Safety Circuits For New Equipment & Systems
  • Wiring of Custom Systems including Electrical Panel Building, Machine Wiring, Pulling Wire, Terminating, Bending Conduit, Wiring Motors, and System Startup & Testing
  • Assist With Preparation & Debugging of PLC or PC Based Control Programs
  • Tasks in Accordance With US & European Standards, Defined Quality Standards, and Company Design & Safety Standards
  • Travel to Customer Sites to Install, Troubleshoot, Repair, and Test Systems (Approx. 40% of Time)
  • Perform Miscellaneous Duties including Clean Up, Department Organization, Material Movement, and Forklift Operation
  • Provide Mechanical System Integration & Assembly Support
  • Keep Department Clean, Organized Utilizing Material Movement & Forklift Operation

Electrical Technician Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
  • 2+ Years of Experience in a Manufacturing Environment
  • Availability for Extended Hours & Weekends as Needed
  • Experience Reading Wiring Diagrams, Schematics, & Engineering Documentation
  • Proficient in Cutting, Stripping, Tinning, Crimping Cable, & Harness
  • Experience With X-Ray Technology Preferred
  • Previous Experience With MS Word & Excel
  • Excellent Communication & Organizational Skills
