WHAT YOU WILL DO


As an Operations Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in aligning strategic initiatives with the day-to-day operations of our business.

You will work closely with the General Manager and senior leadership team to understand strategic objectives and translate them into actionable organizational projects.

Your responsibilities will encompass project planning, resource allocation, team leadership, and ensuring the successful integration of strategic goals into operational activities and completion of key initiatives.

Additionally, you will oversee incident management processes and support customer operations to maintain high standards of service delivery. Furthermore, you will assist account managers with compiling presentations, spreadsheets, and various reports as needed.

This position is preferred to be hybrid in Lansing, MI

Other duties include:

  • Coordinate, facilitate, and manage strategic project activities with the leadership team to ensure timely and comprehensive project completion, including preparing project timeframes and schedules.
  • Work with the extended leadership team to understand business needs and identify appropriate solutions.
  • Project management and leadership for internal strategic initiatives to ensure the overall project execution meets the agreed upon business requirements.
  • Communicate overall status of internal initiatives and potential project risks.
  • Oversee incident management processes, including identification, escalation, resolution, and post-incident analysis, to minimize operational disruptions and ensure timely resolution of issues.
  • Oversee operational health KPIs and publish a weekly summary report.
  • Provide support to account managers by assisting with the creation of presentations, spreadsheets, and various reports as needed to facilitate client communication and project management.
  • Document and disseminate issues, decisions, meeting minutes and action items.
  • Responsible for detailed project schedules and communication of status and tasks.
  • Other duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

  • 5 or more years of project management experience in a business or strategic environment.
  • Master's degree in Business Administration preferred but would consider Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field. MBA level qualifications
  • PMP certification a plus
  • Drive for results - maintains constant awareness of projects; keeps stakeholders focused on short and long-term milestones.
  • Strong leadership, project management and team building skills.
  • Must have excellent relationship building skills across all levels of the organization in a remote and hybrid environment.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Office Applications including PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Excel, and SharePoint or other document preparation/project management/collaboration tools.
  • Able to work with a diverse team and adapt communication styles and message content to appropriate audiences.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
