Provide management of assets and leadership to the employees to provide exceptional customer service while maximizing operational efficiencies that result in enhanced earnings.

Ensure company safety and environmental rules and regulations are met through periodic inspections of plant machinery, equipment, personal activities and working conditions.

Responsible for hiring and retention to maintain required headcount.
Maintain a fully staffed department with qualified and trained personnel that ensures safe and efficient operation of all equipment.
Ensure daily coordination between production, delivery, and quality control for assigned plants.
Ensure productivity targets for drivers and materials usage targets are met.

Oversee production activities at assigned plants to ensure strict adherence to cost and quality standards and takes immediate corrective action when deficiencies are noted.

Ensure that all personnel under their supervision comply with Federal, State and Local regulations.
Ensure that procedures set in place are performed and actions are taken to correct any deficiencies in plant operations.
Responsible for ongoing improvement of the assigned plant(s) and surrounding area(s)

Work with both the Sales and Quality Control team to identify customer service needs, to jointly coordinate, resolve and improve product and quality of service.

Regularly visit job sites and plants to ensure that the plant managers have all the required job staffing, training, and track it properly.

Attend sales department meetings and customer site visits to improve customer service.
Communicate with customer service team regarding equipment utilization, scheduling of personnel, equipment readiness and capacity capabilities. Works with customer service manager to train on functionality and use of batching system.
Run reports to analyze plant efficiencies and employee metrics
Regularly conducts safety trainings with all operations personnel to promote low incident rate at locations.

Experience & abilities you will need:
High School Diploma required.
Associate's Degree preferred.
3 years of Ready-mix experience.

Leadership skills:
Ability to motivate employees to achieve common goals, including functional support within the district. Strong commitment to safety & environment, quality, customer service and plant cleanliness.

Financial planning skills:
Strong organizational and budgeting skills. Coordination with ready mix production manager in making key maintenance and investment recommendations.

Interpersonal skills:
Ability to resolve employee performance issues and conflicts. Must be able to manage an empowered workforce, lead by example and be an effective coach.

Communication skills:

Ability to communicate performance expectations and work assignments to employees and to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
