Job Description:

This position is responsible for overseeing the daily performance of service providers to ensure high-quality service, improve performance, and maintain compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and work with on-road employees to maximize efficiency and ensure that packages are delivered in a safe, timely, and professional manner.
  • Maintain operational performance by developing and implementing effective work process plans, troubleshooting service inefficiencies, reviewing work processes and schedules, and monitoring costs to budget.
  • Apply an understanding of policies and procedures to situations and operations in a business area.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of work process plans to maximize center proficiency and achieve business results.
  • Ensure implementation and maintenance of a comprehensive health and safety plan.
  • Conduct risk management and safety compliance audits.
  • Apply knowledge of company structure and operations to resolve problems, make decisions, and achieve business objectives.
  • Maintain employee safety training and certifications.
  • Apply workforce planning knowledge to evaluate labor markets and devise strategies to attract talent.
  • Determine employee training needs to produce continuous development plans.
  • Provide feedback and support.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and resolve individual and group performance issues.
  • Support a collaborative work environment through continuous communication and relationship building.
  • Apply legal, regulatory, and safety compliance knowledge to reduce company risk.
  • Assess, identify, measure, and monitor customer or business needs and trends.
  • Coach and develop others using career development processes and tools.
  • Support Preload and Local Sort activities, and operations.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree (or internationally comparable degree)
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or National of the U.S., an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. for this employer.
  • Must be currently located in the same geographic location as the job or willing to relocate yourself.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must have previous UPS Package car driving experience.
  • Ability to lift 70lbs/32 kgs.
  • Ability to work flexible shift hours, up to 5 days per week.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.
  • Must be DOT certified, and willing to take a physical exam, including a driving test.
  • Must have a Bachelor's Degree (or internationally comparable degree) or be a current UPS employee with three years of UPS experience.
