JOB SUMMARY:
The role of the Senior Application Developer involves designing, developing, and implementing solutions for Legacy Systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Coordinates development activities for a team of 1-5 developers
  • Works independently with minimal supervision
  • Defines system requirements for medium to large program segments
  • Creates detailed system requirement specifications
  • Develops Technical Design Document
  • Codes applications, databases, and interface programs
  • Performs peer reviews (Unit Test)
  • Generates Unit Test cases
  • Documents code through comments
  • Documents system functionality
  • Troubleshoots and enhances code to address defects
  • Manages development coordination with vendor organization ensuring quality and consistency

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

Education/Training:
B.S. in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent work experience required.

Related Experience:
Minimum 2 years in general IT
Minimum 2 years in application development
Cobol

SCOBOL
Pathway

Familiarity with:
Microsoft Office (WORD, EXCEL, POWERPOINT, MS PROJECT)
Ability to analyze and understand existing processes and code

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
