Role Summary:
The Senior Manager of Corporate Accounting will oversee the accounting and consolidation processes while spearheading initiatives for process enhancements within the finance department. Reporting directly to the Corporate Controller, this position is integral to our finance leadership team and is based in our operational headquarters. The ideal candidate will leverage a blend of public accounting and private sector experience to lead a high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and prepare comprehensive monthly financial reporting packages, collaborating with Plant Controllers to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Draft external financial statements, inclusive of detailed footnotes.
  • Guarantee the precise and timely completion of all accounting transactions for the reporting period.
  • Oversee account reconciliations, ensuring effective and timely resolution.
  • Lead initiatives aimed at enhancing accounting efficiency and accuracy.
  • Supervise corporate accounting functions, including the management of insurance and benefits in collaboration with HR.
  • Work closely with FP&A to provide insights into financial forecasts, budgets, and trends.
  • Establish and enforce standard operating procedures to meet internal and external reporting requirements consistently.
  • Coordinate the Annual External Audit, ensuring thorough and timely completion.
  • Analyze and prepare complex accounting reserves.
  • Address and resolve inquiries from finance and management teams, investigating open accounting issues and identifying potential conflicts.
  • Mentor and develop senior and staff accountants.
  • Serve as a backup for the Controller's responsibilities.
  • Perform additional ad-hoc tasks as assigned by the CFO and Controller.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in accounting or a related discipline.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in public accounting.
  • Extensive knowledge of US GAAP.
  • At least 5 years of accounting experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum of 2 years in a corporate accounting role.
  • Proficient in technology with experience in financial system implementations.
  • Familiarity with Infor Visual is advantageous.
  • Experience with consolidation systems is essential, with a preference for OneStream experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of effectively presenting key data to senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • High standards of accuracy, precision, and organization, with a keen attention to detail.
