SUMMARY

Venture Forward is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded by the National Venture Capital Association (NVCA) to build a stronger, more diverse, equitable, and inclusive future for the U.S. venture capital (VC) ecosystem.

We support both current and emerging VC investors by addressing imbalances of access, resources, and opportunity. Our vision is to see more women, people of color, and underrepresented people in investment positions of power, to ultimately help the ecosystem unlock even greater economic impact and innovation.

The VC industry has a long way to go to reach equality of opportunity, and representation that reflects the world around us. Meaningful change takes time, but we're proud to play our part: to date, 3,700+ people have participated in our VC University certificate course, 240+ emerging managers have participated in our Emerging Managers Office Hours program (formerly LP Office Hours), and more than 300 VC firms participated in our most recent VC Human Capital Survey.

To support our upcoming VC Human Capital Survey ("Survey"), Venture Forward is seeking a Research Intern ("Intern") to join our team June – November 2024, with the possibility of an extension through March 2025.

  • Join regular check-in calls with project stakeholders to review progress, milestones, and timeline

  • Provide support on the survey methodology, questionnaire and testing, survey communications, survey administration, data analysis, and copyediting and proofreading
  • Support the team with other ad-hoc needs to ensure project goals and timeline are met

This role is ideal for someone looking to advance their research skills specifically related to surveys, venture capital, and/or diversity, equity, and inclusion.

The role is based in San Francisco, and the team currently works in the office Tuesdays through Thursdays. Local candidates will be preferred, but remote candidates will be considered.
