Hood Packaging is leading the industry in packaging solutions and our Tyler, Texas location is searching for a dynamic Engineering Manager that will be responsible for the overall plant facility.

The successful candidate will hold safety standards a priority for both production needs and maintenance procedures.

Also, the individual will have extensive knowledge of capital budgets and cost controls and the ability to establish and meet measurable metrics.

The individual should also be able to operate within a broad scope with general support from management. The candidate must possess a keen judgement in decision making with the ability to initiate change and achieve results. The candidate will be required to analyze, prioritize, and manage maintenance repairs and modifications.

Also, the candidate must be able to development appropriate relationships with customers and suppliers to support long term business plans; and demonstrate the ability to lead and empower people.

A bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering is expected along with 5 – 7 years of prior management experience and maintenance experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.

Experience in flexible packaging preferred, but not required.
