At Trane Technologies, we're committed to creating innovative climate solutions for a sustainable world. As a System Engineering I, you'll play a key role in developing embedded controls for our residential HVAC systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with hardware, software, and algorithm engineering teams to execute embedded controls development projects.
  • Manage comprehensive technical requirements and oversee the successful completion of Controls development activities on assigned projects.
  • Serve as the Systems Engineer on Residential HVAC controls engineering projects, including system controls, embedded controls, user interfaces, and home automation devices.
  • Lead requirements development, management, verification, and validation activities on assigned projects.
  • Monitor and consult on software defects, and lead periodic independent technical reviews.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate potential issues by performing technical risk assessments.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Software Engineering, Computer Science, or Physics.
  • Working knowledge of control systems, instrumentation, human-machine interfaces (HMI), communication networks, and/or distributed networked systems.
  • Results-oriented with an emphasis on achieving team performance.
  • HVAC knowledge is a plus.
