We are offering a 6-month contract to hire a remote opportunity for a Mid-Level Web Developer with one of our government clients. As this position involves specific clearances, the individual **must be a US Citizen**.

The web developer role encompasses the development of web applications, including creating customized UI elements like forms, dashboards, charts, and graphs, and linking the UI to back-end services through RESTful APIs. Our developers work following Agile methodologies and are proficient at collaborating within a team environment.


Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, test, and deploy web-based applications
  • Create application specifications, diagrams, and flow charts
  • Develop shared libraries for common features/services
  • Collaborate with the team to define and implement new features
  • Debug and resolve application bugs
  • Maintain high code quality and coverage standards
  • Utilize tools like SonarQube and Fortify for code inspection
  • Conduct unit and integration testing with a minimum of 90% code coverage
  • Participate in Daily Stand-Ups (DSUs) for daily updates
  • Meet deadlines for tasks and software releases
  • Present work demos to customers

Skills/Knowledge:

  • Understanding of Object-Oriented principles
  • Experience with Agile software development and tools like Jira and Bitbucket
  • Proficiency in source code version control (Git, Subversion, CVS)
  • Familiarity with design principles and UI guidelines
  • Knowledge of RESTful APIs for back-end connections
  • Strong UI design sense with a user-centered focus
  • Experience with SharePoint
  • Proficiency in Unit and Integration Testing
  • Knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, XML

Experience and Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or computer-related field
  • Mid-level developer: Minimum 5 years of professional software engineering experience with at least 3 years in web development
