Position Overview: The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) plays a vital role in providing support within residential programs and assisting in the implementation of behavior analytics under the guidance of an RBT supervisor.
Work Schedule: 40 hours, Flexible
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist individuals with skills training in all daily living activities.
- Participate in delivering comprehensive behavior analytic services to individuals with developmental/intellectual disabilities: implement behavior interventions, assist in data collection, and provide reports on target behaviors.
- Engage regularly with the RBT supervisor to review behavior plans, data collection, and analysis.
- Create opportunities for individuals to make choices that enhance their skills and promote independence.
- Deliver services in accordance with DDS, DMH, MassHealth, HUD, DPH, CARF, and all relevant regulatory standards, as well as Bridgewell policies and procedures.
- Support individuals with their medical, clinical, and financial needs.
- Transport and accompany individuals to medical, recreational, and other activities as required.
- Maintain necessary documentation in compliance with DDS, DMH, MassHealth, HUD, DPH, CARF, and all applicable regulatory standards, as well as Bridgewell policies and procedures.
- Assist individuals in accessing community resources and recreational opportunities.
- Administer medications in accordance with MAP regulations, as applicable.
- Maintain core training certifications including CPR/FA, OSHA, PABC, MAP, and Driver Safety.
- Complete additional mandated certifications and training as required by the program.
- Foster positive relationships with guardians, family members, and other stakeholders.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Associate's Degree or DSP Certification is preferred.
- Current Registered Behavior Technician certification is required.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience working with individuals with developmental or psychiatric disabilities is preferred.
Skills and Knowledge:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to ensure clarity in documentation.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Valid driver's license and at least one year of driving experience.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft products and web-based applications utilized by the agency.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent climbing of stairs is required.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 30 pounds.
- Must be able to drive a vehicle and meet the agency's driving record requirements.
- Normal range of eyesight with or without corrective lenses is necessary.
- Normal range of hearing with or without corrective equipment is required.
