HEAD OF SALES & MARKETING

Salaried role located at the Corporate Headquarters in Downtown Honolulu.

Exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual to become a key part of a successful leadership team at a company renowned for its excellence. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record in leading sales teams. As the Head of Sales and Marketing, you will be tasked with crafting and executing strategies to drive the company's sales processes, marketing initiatives, and brand development.

Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a senior Sales and/or Marketing position
  • Previous background in marketing and/or sales within an assisted living community is preferred
  • Degree in marketing or public relations is advantageous; at least an Associate's or Bachelor's Degree is required
  • Positive references
  • Focused on achieving objectives
  • Proficient in English communication - reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to effectively engage with individuals from diverse backgrounds, abilities, and expectations
  • Skilled in sales techniques and informing referral sources about the services available to meet their needs
  • Comprehensive understanding of senior demographics and aging
  • Enthusiasm for assisting seniors
  • Keen observation abilities and persuasive communication skills
  • Aptitude for meeting sales targets and handling the demands of the role
  • Capable of completing necessary documentation and reports accurately
  • Detail-oriented and collaborative
  • Current CPR/First Aid Certification
  • Compliance with all employment protocols, orientations, and training as outlined in the Employee Handbook and Operating Policies and Procedures Manual
  • Meeting regulatory requirements for Assisted Living facility staff
Responsibilities:
  • Devising and executing monthly and annual Marketing Plans in collaboration with team members, Administrators, Management Company, and Consultants
  • Supervising and coordinating with any contracted advertising agency
  • Establishing and nurturing The Plaza's brand image
  • Assessing and evaluating the outcomes of Marketing Plans and advertising endeavors
  • Monitoring the effectiveness of public relations activities and adjusting strategies for optimal results
  • Coordinating media relations efforts and press releases in alignment with the Management Company
  • Guiding Community Relations personnel to foster networking relationships and expand referral sources
  • Handling inquiries and conducting guided tours for potential clients, families, and referrals as required
  • Educating visitors on available services and amenities, aligning offerings to their requirements
  • Submitting necessary reports promptly and accurately
  • Training and guiding sales team members at different locations
  • Participating in departmental budget planning and adhering to financial limits
  • Continuously researching community needs, competitors, and overall marketing and sales performance
  • Providing advice to staff on marketing strategies and challenges
  • Managing and replenishing marketing materials within budget constraints
  • Maintaining an advertising schedule and collaborating with agencies/media for suitable placements
  • Adhering to policies and procedures detailed in the Operating Manuals
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with referral sources to enhance and sustain occupancy levels
  • Performing additional responsibilities as delegated by superiors
Commencing salary is $90,000 annually.
