The ideal candidate will work closely with the company's senior management and external legal advisors to craft legal policies and strategies in a dynamic business landscape. We are in search of an individual with a proven track record in handling intricate legal issues, extensive knowledge of transactional and litigation matters. The compensation package offered is competitive and includes a performance-based bonus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure strict compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Select, collaborate with, and supervise relationships with external legal firms.
  • Provide legal advice to senior management on various matters affecting transactions and day-to-day operations.
  • Tackle and resolve legal matters such as lawsuits, arbitration, and settlements to mitigate future conflicts.
  • Keep the company's legal documents, policies, and procedures up to date.
  • Lead the legal department, working with other teams to provide legal advice on various company initiatives.
  • Oversee the loan documentation process from inception to completion, including initial drafting by external legal counsel and negotiating terms with involved parties.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Skilled in reviewing and negotiating legal agreements, managing transactions, and guiding dispute resolution processes.
  • Minimum of 10 years of legal experience with a focus on real estate law, encompassing commercial litigation and transactional issues.
  • Prior experience in leading or mentoring team members is a plus.
  • Proficient in simplifying and explaining complex legal concepts verbally and in writing.
  • Demonstrated ability to oversee multiple projects concurrently, while meeting strict deadlines.
  • Outstanding negotiation, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Holding an active bar membership is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Able to make independent decisions with minimal oversight. Self-motivated with a talent for creative problem-solving.

Education and Requirements:

Holds a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from a reputable law school
