Our client is looking for a dedicated Legal Assistant with a minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial real estate, particularly focused on closing documents.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and submit matter opening forms.
  • Conduct conflict checks and draft engagement letters.
  • Create and close binders in both PDF and paper formats.
  • Type, proofread, format, and edit various legal documents, including correspondence, pleadings, memoranda, and agreements under tight deadlines.
  • Scan, save, and file documents from clients using iManage.
  • Prepare expense reimbursements.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and staff to gather essential information for file openings.
  • Provide support to legal assistants, paralegals, and attorneys as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience as a legal assistant, preferably in commercial real estate.
  • Experience with conflict checks, engagement letters, and managing binders.
  • Familiarity with legal real estate terminology.
  • Proficiency in using Docs PDF and managing document versions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong proofreading skills for legal documents.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and customer service abilities.
  • Advanced knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and PDF Docs.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and follow-up skills.
