Job Description

Construction Manager

About the Position:

  • Oversees and coordinates all aspects of the construction phase of a K-12 education facility project, including mobilization, construction, and closeout
  • Plans, directs, and reports construction management activities to upper management
  • Coordinates with public agencies during construction to ensure compliance with off-site work requirements
  • Manages project budget and schedule to meet qualitative standards
  • Handles day-to-day contract administration, including bid analysis and pre-construction meetings
  • Reviews contractors' construction schedules, submittals, and values to ensure compliance
  • Coordinates project team and contractors to ensure project scope adherence
  • Negotiates fair costs for change orders and reviews their impact on the project
  • Manages fiscal resources, including payment applications
  • Coordinates delivery of fixtures, furniture, and equipment
  • Performs other Construction Management duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

  • 8-10 years' experience in Construction Management of Commercial and/or Public Facilities, with a focus on Educational Facility Construction
  • 2-5 years of DSA experience
  • BS or BA in Architecture, Engineering, Urban Planning, Construction Management, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Building Information Modeling (BIM)
  • Experience with LEED certified and/or CHPS projects
  • Familiarity with DSA construction/design processes
  • Hold a valid CCM credential by CMCI

Salary is commensurate with education and experience, ranging from $115K to $170K.
