Job Description:
HITT is seeking an experienced Project Accounting Associate to be part of our dynamic team. This role plays a vital part in our accounting operations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage hands-on job cost accounting for multiple projects including Subcontractor AP processing, Client invoicing, and budgeting
  • Keep detailed track of all project costs
  • Collaborate closely with the Project Management team to provide necessary support and guidance
  • Ensure clear communication and enforcement of Project Accounting and Company Policies and Procedures
  • Address accounting issues promptly and effectively with the team, aiming for timely resolution
  • Proactively monitor projects for risk management and escalate as required
Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
  • 2-5 years of experience in Construction or project-related accounting
  • Must be a self-starter, motivated, and capable of working independently
  • Strong ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment. Detail, rule, and goal-oriented
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and exposure to ERP systems or similar business software. JD Edwards experience is a bonus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Balance between speed and quality of results is crucial
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and disciplined
  • Positive, courteous, and friendly demeanor
