Plant Operations Manager

The Plant Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing all activities related to location conditioning, rebagging, and warehousing operations. Their main focus is to ensure that seed processing meets customer quality standards while maximizing the production of finished units. Key responsibilities include:

  • Supervising temporary, seasonal, and full-time employees involved in plant processes.
  • Assisting the Location Manager with employee evaluations.
  • Maintaining a safe work environment and implementing company safety programs.
  • Implementing the Remington QMS program within their area of responsibility.
  • Ensuring product integrity for all processed items.
  • Managing the facility within the allocated budget.
  • Keeping adequate inventory of packaging and conditioning supplies.
  • Communicating bagging schedules and packaging instructions to plant employees.
  • Problem-solving to enhance location performance.
  • Maintaining plant equipment to minimize downtime.
  • Ensuring accurate inventory management within warehouses.
  • Completing processing work orders accurately for correct customer invoicing.
  • Preserving a professional facility appearance.
