Job Summary

Rumpke Waste and Recycling is seeking a skilled CDL Rear Load Driver to join our team in Greenville, Ohio. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for safely collecting and hauling waste and recyclables to disposal sites and recycling plants.

Responsibilities
  • Operate a truck in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all local, state, and federal regulations and company policies.
  • Provide excellent customer service by delivering trash and recycling services to customers in a timely and professional manner.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections, complete logs, and maintain accurate records.
  • Perform physical tasks such as lifting, pushing, and pulling containers, as well as climbing in and out of the truck.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to achieve company goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Valid Class B CDL and DOT Medical Card.
  • At least 19 years of age and a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent driving and maneuvering skills, with a good understanding of truck mechanics.
  • Ability to read and understand maps and navigate through congested areas.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact with internal and external customers.
Working Conditions

This position requires working in a fast-paced environment, with possible exposure to high traffic conditions and tight driving areas. You will also be working with residential and commercial waste, and may be required to travel between offices.
