This position works within the Clinical Engineering Field Services Team that will require daily travel among Portland Service Area facilities.
$3,000 hiring bonus for eligible external hires that meet required qualifications and conditions for payment.
The Biomedical Equipment Technician 2 provides scheduled maintenance, repairs and electrical safety inspections on patient care medical equipment under the general supervision of the Biomedical Services Manager. Work assigned varies in difficulty with some requiring specialized training. Services are performed on, but not limited to; life support equipment (i.e. anesthesia machines, defibrillators, ventilators, balloon pumps), integrated monitoring systems (i.e. physiological monitoring systems), key diagnostic and therapeutic devices (i.e., telemetry monitoring systems, surgical video systems) and other like devices at multiple locations within and outside Providence.

Required Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology or Electronics Technology, and 3 years of experience in a healthcare organization with patient care electronic medical devices at a circuit level or
- Equivalent military training, and 3 years of experience in a healthcare organization with patient care electronic medical devices at a circuit level; or
- Current Providence Biomedical Equipment Technician 1, with current AAMI CBET Certification and 2 years of experience in a healthcare organization with patient care electronic medical devices at a circuit level
- Upon request: Driving may be necessary as part of this role. Caregivers are required to comply with all state laws and requirements for driving. Caregivers will be expected to provide proof of driver license and auto insurance upon request. See policy for additional information

The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
