Community Legal Center is seeking a Program Coordinator for our nonprofit law firm, located in Memphis, TN.

We are seeking an individual who is fluent in both English and Spanish, highly organized, self-driven, and motivated, with the ability to identify solutions to issues as they arise.


JOB SUMMARY:


The Program Coordinator works under the joint direction of the Director of the Immigrant Justice Program and the Lead Civil Staff Attorney to coordinate office services that include, but are not limited to: client intake procedures, record-keeping, and scheduling appointments.

The Program Coordinator will also interpret/translate for Spanish speaking clients.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bilingual Spanish-English required. Must be able to read and write in English/Spanish fluently

Two years of college or equivalent work experience

Good written and verbal communication and advocacy skills in both Spanish and English

Proficient in Google Suite, Word, Excel, and Power Point

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operate and answer office switchboard to relay incoming calls, screen new clients and coordinate intake process, including for case type and program eligibility, and make appropriate referrals to other organizations

Log and track all voicemails on client call log

Schedule qualifying clients for clinics and other appointments

Maintain office calendar

Answer office intercom and redirect walk-up clients (people without appointments)

Works with attorneys to translate documents and interpret conversations (English and Spanish) one to another to enable communication between attorney and clients

Coordinate volunteers who speak Spanish to assist with translation of documents or other aid

Accompany attorneys to court hearings as needed

Work collaboratively with other office administrative staff

Assist attorneys with client payments over the phone and/or in person

Promote the Community Legal Center in the community

Other duties as assigned
