Responsibilities

Shift: Sunday-Thursday 2-10:30pm

Working under the supervision of the Systems Manager, this role involves maintaining and troubleshooting automated equipment in a fully automated Distribution Center. The key tasks include diagnosing and resolving electrical and mechanical issues, testing and repairing electrical systems, and managing various equipment and systems such as PLCs, motors, drives, and sensors. It also includes conducting preventive maintenance, managing spare parts inventory, and ensuring compliance with all relevant requirements.

  • Develop and execute effective preventative maintenance plans for facility equipment
  • Troubleshoot and repair Materials Handling Equipment and Automated Picking System errors
  • Oversee maintenance, modifications, and system upgrades of equipment controls
  • Assess equipment efficiency and implement necessary modifications
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance tasks to uphold warehouse productivity
  • Maintain repair records and manage spare parts inventory
  • Be willing to work flexible hours to meet productivity targets
  • Carry out other assigned duties
Requirements

This role requires technical vocational training or equivalent experience and education, with a preference for a strong electrical background. Key qualifications include:

1. Technical expertise in mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems

2. Proficiency in reading and interpreting CAD layouts and electrical diagrams

3. Ability to diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical issues

4. Knowledge of testing equipment and systems

5. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and computer hardware/software

6. Strong analytical and problemsolving skills

7. Effective communication and interpersonal skills

8. Attention to detail and organizational skills
