About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Controls Technician to join our team at AmerisourceBergen Pharmaceutical Distribution and Strategic Glob. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our automated distribution center.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical issues with automated equipment, including single phase or three phase electrical systems up to 600volts, AC or DC motors, power supplies, frequency drives, servo drives, transformers, motor starters, proximity sensors, encoders, photo eyes, programmable logic controllers (PLC), HMI's, PLC Inputs/Outputs.
  • Test equipment and instrumentation systems, including electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, refrigeration, and water treatment chemicals.
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance tasks to ensure continued productivity with warehouse operations.
  • Manage the inventory of spare parts and maintain the CMMS/EAM system on repairs required and performed on equipment in the Distribution Center.
  • Collaborate with the Systems Manager to develop and implement effective preventative maintenance plans and schedules for all facility equipment and systems.
Requirements
  • Some technical vocational training or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Strong technical and operational knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic equipment and systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret CAD layouts, illustrated parts breakdown (IPB) diagrams, and electrical circuitry diagrams and drawings.
  • Ability to diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical issues, including testing, replacement, or repair of electrical systems.
  • Working knowledge of computer systems and personal computers, including computer hardware and software experience.
