**Job Summary:** We are seeking a skilled Machine Setup/Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing machine setup and operating machinery in compliance with ISO standards, safety requirements, and 5-S principles.
**Job Title:** Machine Setup/Operator
**Job Type:** Temp to Hire
**Work Hours:** 2nd Shift (2pm-10pm, Monday-Friday)
**Pay Rate:** $25/hour
**Roles & Responsibilities:**
+ **Caliper Reading:** Proficient in reading calipers.
+ **Blueprint Reading:** Understand CMC prints with dimensions to .000.
+ **Paperwork Completion:** Fill out quality forms and daily inspection forms accurately.
+ **Hand Tools Usage:** Use hand tools such as air guns, wrenches, and drill presses.
+ **Machine Operation:** Operate one or more machines as required.
+ **Machine Controls:** Understand and use machine controls including start, stop, and emergency stop.
+ **Setup Inspection:** Perform setup inspections before releasing jobs to operators.
+ **Operator Training:** Ensure operators are knowledgeable in machine operation, safety devices and rules, product handling, inspection types and frequencies, and past quality issues.
+ **First Piece Verification:** Perform first piece verification as per department requirements.
+ **Corrective Actions:** Participate in the corrective action process and document scrap.
+ **Documentation:** Properly document shop orders, drawings, inspection charts, and move tags.
+ **Setup Adjustments:** Make adjustments to setups, change drills and taps to ensure specifications are met.
+ **Employee Training:** Train new or temporary employees and may assign operators to jobs.
+ **Additional Duties:** Perform other duties as directed by the supervisor.
+ **Scheduling Board:** Know the proper use of the scheduling board.
+ **Staging Shelf:** Be aware of the shop order staging shelf location per department.
+ **Setup Card Review:** Know how to review the setup card.
+ **Inspection Recording:** Demonstrate how to check parts and record information on the inspection chart.
+ **Troubleshooting:** Troubleshoot machine problems and variations.
**Requirements:**
+ **Education:** High School Diploma or GED preferred.
+ **Experience:** 1+ year of machine setup experience.
+ **Work Tenure:** Demonstrated good work tenure.
