CNC Machinist

Role: CNC Machinist

As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for the following:

• Utilizing precision measuring tools to assess the dimensions of completed components, ensuring they meet specified standards.
• Replacing worn-out cutting tools as necessary to maintain operational efficiency.
• Setting up and securing tools, attachments, fixtures, and workpieces on machinery using hand tools and precision instruments.
• Monitoring machine operations to identify issues such as dull tools or excessive vibrations, making adjustments as needed.
• Modifying machine settings, including feed rates and cutting tools, in response to programming errors or machine malfunctions.
• Halting machines to retrieve finished components or to adjust tooling and setups in accordance with machining protocols.
• Manually lifting workpieces to machines as required.
• Altering cutting programs to resolve operational challenges and preserving updated versions of these programs.
• Calculating optimal machine speeds, feed ratios, and determining the dimensions and locations of cuts.

Applicants should possess:

• A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a metal manufacturing environment, including setup and tool change expertise.
• The capability to read and interpret measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers.
