**What you will do:**
As our Purchasing Manager, you'll oversee all facets of purchasing activities and Supplier Quality Assurance functions, ensuring site competitiveness and top-notch quality of purchased parts with zero defects. Your role is pivotal in managing the Purchasing team, fostering supplier relationships, and driving performance to meet key indicators.
Responsibilities:
+ Lead and develop the Purchasing team, ensuring alignment with company expectations and fostering competence growth.
+ Act as the primary interface during supplier crises, addressing issues related to quality, delivery, and commercial matters.
+ Drive the Purchasing team to achieve key performance indicators and implement purchasing strategies within budgetary constraints.
+ Spearhead material productivity initiatives in collaboration with site Management.
+ Support buyer negotiations with suppliers and validate new supplier introductions.
+ Mitigate site exposure to supplier base risks and ensure Supplier Integration progress within the site.
+ Maintain strict compliance with supplier operational data and respond to external quality system audits.
+ Monitor key performance indicators such as Material Index, Project Material Index, and Minority Business spent to meet budgetary goals.
**What you will need:**
+ Seven (7) years of progressively responsible purchasing and materials control experience, with at least three (3) years in a managerial position within the automotive industry.
+ Self-motivated, well-organized, results-oriented, and a team player with excellent oral and written communication skills.
+ Strong organizational and interpersonal skills are essential for success in this role.
