About the Role: We are looking for a highly motivated Machining Coordinator to join our Skilled Trades team. In this role , you will participate in coordination and project management of divisional machining and R&D operations through the (Medical Products West) Skilled Trades shop(s) . You will also partner with outside vendors to meet customer needs , u tilizing report data and metric creation to create a seamless flow of work through our internal shops as well as act as an inward facing liaison for our external vendors.

This role will be located at our Phoenix 3 facility in Phoenix, Arizona.

Responsibilities:
  • Accurately and efficiently track individual work requests and develop good project management methods for large multi-month proje cts
  • R e port various metrics and data including Machine capacit y , staffing , on-time delivery
  • Review work requests/orders for clarity and accuracy , ensuring all necessary documentation is provided per Quality System procedures
  • Review performance with outside vendors routinely in partnership with MRO/Purchasing
  • Drive continuous improvements in machining coordination services.
  • C ommunicate with leadership , local teams, and customers with any updates, changes, or improvements.
  • Communicate with various functional teams on a routine basis , providing updates including work status, challenges to timelines , etc .
  • Ensure timelines and/or deadlines are met based on agreed upon commitments
  • Maintain alignment practices between skilled trade functions (machining, Inspection , and machine assembly)
Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 6 years machining experience in a non-production environment
  • Minimum of 2 years of Computer Numeric Control Systems (CNC) programming
  • Minimum of 2 years experience scheduling the flow of work in a machine shop or manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated k nowledge of shop equipment, EDM, NC mills, lathes, grinders, etc.
  • Demonstrated a bility to read drawings and solid models with attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated time-management and prioritization skills
  • Ability to use computer systems
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to travel up to 25%; including between Phoenix and Flagstaff
Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Power Point
  • Experience utilizing Agile/PLM system
  • Experience using Solidwork
