Accounting Manager - Temp to hire - San Rafael
Highly respected non-profit organization known for its good work in the community has an immediate need for an experienced Accounting Manager.
Leading the accounting functions of a team of three, you will also work closely with the CFO to provide key data and analysis to the Board of Directors, and support a range of strategic planning and organizational initiatives.

Accounting Manager functions include, but not limited to:
Oversee all general ledger and accounting activities including: A/R, A/P, cash management, financial statement prep, external audits
Prepare cyclical financial statements, reporting key metrics for the Executive Team
Document "best practices", procedures and internal controls and assure their consistent application and compliance throughout the organization.
Ensure
financial/accounting
functions are in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Prepare and submit required financial reports to federal, state and county agencies, external auditing agencies, other sources.
Track purchases and disposal of capital assets
Contribute to the development of proposals for new business contracts, as needed
Accounting Manager qualifications:
Demonstrated experience in financial management and accounting, ideally in the nonprofit sector
Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills; expert dynamic team environment Collaborator
Supervisory experience:
hiring, training, coaching and evaluating
Experience in proposing new process ideas for efficiency and maximizing revenue
Technology savvy:
advanced MS Office Suite, Salesforce and Accounting Seed
Proven self-starter; "hands-on" multitasker
Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting, CPA preferred
This is an onsite role – must be local to the Bay Area
