Responsibilities
  • Optimize network infrastructure by designing system configuration, installation, and enforcing system standards.
  • Design and execute short and long-term strategic plans for infrastructure capacity.
  • Maximize network performance by monitoring performance, troubleshooting network problems, performing root-cause analysis on outages, scheduling upgrades, and collaborating with the team.
  • Secure network system by establishing and enforcing policies, defining, and monitoring access.
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and maintaining professional networks.
  • Research new products, enhance configuration standards and best practices, and educate team members.
  • Schedule off-hour upgrades and projects to prevent business interruption.
  • Report network operational status by gathering and prioritizing information and managing projects.

Required Experience:
  • Ability to work on-site at our Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin office and ability to be on-call.
  • Bachelor's degree in network communications and/or a minimum of 5 years of Network Administration in enterprise environments.
  • Experience in designing high-availability enterprise networks with multiple locations and data centers.
  • Experience connecting cloud solutions with on-premises data centers.
  • Solid decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with routing, multi-layer switching, firewalls, and virtual private networks.
  • Experience with designs, installations, site surveys, and troubleshooting of wireless systems.
  • Ability to effectively coach, mentor, and develop junior team members and possess excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze the technical needs of multiple divisions and departments within the organization.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks.
