What You'll Do


Epic Games is looking for a Senior Hard Surface Artist to join our team working with art, design, animation, and production to help figure out how we supply a steady stream of mechanical content on Fortnite.

You will create stylized art and push the quality of hard surface mechanical modeling while being a solid communicator and team player.

Bring your awesome mechanical models to life in this stylized world.
In this role, you will

Model high poly, low poly, and texturing assets including weapons, pickaxes, gliders, vehicles, and gadgets
Handle outsourcing management as needed; checking to make sure outsourcers are adhering to technical & aesthetic requirements
Create mechanical models that show a high degree of articulation and animation
Create high quality stylized art and high quality models and textures
Create models that appropriately capture the feeling of the 2D concept art

What we're looking for

World class modeling skills, preferably in MAX or Maya
Solid communicator with an ability to work between disciplines
Great texturing skills and experience with PBR & materials
Ability to take 2D concept art to completion
Ability to create functional, articulated mechanical models
Ability to provide feedback to outsourcers
