WSI Trash & Recycling Quality Assurance Specialist Job Description

WSI Trash & Recycling Valet is hiring a Quality Assurance Specialist to provide operation support in Salt Lake County & Utah County Utah. This role is essential for ensuring the highest standards of service in our trash and recycling valet operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for observing and monitoring the performance of valet technicians to ensure compliance with all operational, safety, and recycling protocols.

Employment Type: Part time

Work Week: Monday through Friday

Scheduled Start: 6:00 PM

Average Shift Length: 3-4 Hours

Pay: $18-$20 an hour

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular on-site observations of trash and recycling valet technicians to ensure compliance with company standards and local regulations.
  • Monitor and assess the adherence to safety protocols and procedures during service operations
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of trash and recycling collection practices, including the separation and disposal of recyclable materials.
  • Ensure that the aesthetics and cleanliness of the community are maintained post-service, verifying that no debris is left behind.
  • Prepare detailed reports based on findings from site visits, highlighting areas of compliance as well as areas needing improvement.
  • Communicate effectively with management and operational teams to provide feedback and recommendations based on observations and assessments.
  • Support the continuous improvement of service quality by collaborating with other team members and contributing to training initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Must be conscientious, reliable, and exhibit a friendly and helpful attitude towards on-site management and residents.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and must be willing to be subject to a criminal background check.

(Each background check is reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Prior charges or convictions doesn't necessarily disqualify.)

  • A valid Driver's License and ability to operate a motor vehicle in Utah is required.

(Valid documentation included but not limited to Auto Liability Insurance and Driver's license must be maintained.)

  • Must be able to physically lift and transport up to 50 lbs. and able to work in indoor and outdoor environments during various weather conditions.
  • Must be able to ascend or descend stairs and walk for prolonged periods of time.
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Ability to speak, read and write in English
  • Possess a smartphone with an active data plan and location services enabled
  • Experience with G-suite preferred.
  • Excellent observational and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to excellence.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and report writing.

Work Environment

This role involves frequent on-site visits which require the ability to navigate various weather conditions and physical settings. The candidate should be prepared for significant outdoor activity and direct interaction with service personnel.
