Position Overview:

The Quality Assurance Specialist will oversee all inspection activities associated with the assigned Purchase Orders (POs). This role reports directly to the Procurement Quality Control Manager (Project) and the Head of the Inspection Department (Corporate).


Key Responsibilities:
  • Review Project Specifications, focusing on Manufacturing and Quality Control.
  • Identify Quality Control requirements to be incorporated into Purchase Orders.
  • Conduct internal reviews of Quality Control stipulations included in the POs prior to vendor issuance.
  • Examine and provide feedback on vendor manufacturing documents related to assigned Purchase Orders, including but not limited to Electrical Equipment, Transformers, and Pressure Vessels.

Main Documentation:

Essential documents include Inspection and Test Plans (ITP), Manufacturing Purchase Specifications, Test Procedures, and Final Quality Dossiers.


Coordination and Communication:
  • Plan, coordinate, and schedule workshop inspection visits with all Inspection Representatives (Vendor, TR, Client).
  • Issue Technical Queries or Deviation Requests to the Client as necessary.
  • Lead Pre-Inspection Meetings for applicable Purchase Orders.
  • Support the Project Inspection Team in resolving Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) and other manufacturing-related issues.
  • Request and select qualified inspectors for inspection activities in accordance with the relevant ITPs.
  • Maintain clear communication with vendors to ensure understanding of comments and project requirements, facilitating a seamless manufacturing process.
  • Manage Notices of Inspections (NOIs) with all relevant parties.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Telecom, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • 2-5+ years of experience in quality control within Electrical and Instrumentation manufacturing.
  • Experience in producing and reviewing manufacturing and quality documentation.
  • International Welding Engineer or Certified Welding Inspector (CWI/CSWIP) credentials.
  • Strong knowledge of E&I standards and regulations, including IEC, IEEE, and ISA.
  • Familiarity with Electrical Hazardous Area Classifications such as ATEX and IECEx.
  • Knowledge of ASME, API, ANSI, and NACE Codes.
  • Experience with commonly used E&I equipment in the Oil & Gas sector.
  • Understanding of Non-Destructive Testing methods (PT, MT, UT, RT, ET).
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken (B2-C1).
