Position Purpose:
- The Personal Trainer provides specialized, one-on-one training tailored to meet the specific needs of each member.
- Develop and supervise personalized exercise programs based on members' goals, standards, and current fitness levels.
- Offer resources and information on special concerns or areas of interest.
- Assist members in adhering to exercise routines and provide emotional support for their fitness commitment.
- Build relationships with members to promote healthy lifestyle choices and commitment to the YMCA.
- Implement personalized fitness programs and training techniques.
- Provide ongoing follow-up and motivation for long-term commitment.
- Supervise and instruct members on exercise techniques.
- Motivate members to embrace lifestyle changes enthusiastically.
- Respond promptly to member concerns, maintaining professional rapport and ensuring member satisfaction.
- Keep client files updated and contribute to emergency and safety procedures.
- Participate actively as a team member in providing excellent service.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Science or related field plus minimum 3 years of experience, preferably pursuing a degree in physiology or related field.
- National Personal Training Certification (NSCA, ACSM, ACE, NEITA, AAAI).
- Excellent relationship building and communication skills.
- Updated knowledge of wellness and fitness trends.
