Responsibilities

Oversee the A/R and A/P processes
Assist with audits (internal, external and DCAA)
Ensure that invoicing and receivables are done in a timely manner
Coordinate with the contracts department for contract compliance
Perform corporate financial activities in monthly closing and producing monthly packages for reviews
Coordinate and provide regular updates to vendors, consultants, federal, state & local entities
Lead the preparation process of the annual operating budget
Mentor junior staff as necessary
Complete ad hoc projects as assigned
Provides monthly financial reports and updates to the CEO and Corporate Leadership

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required, a degree can be substituted in lieu of 4 years of additional experience in defense contracting
Must have 7+ years of hands-on accounting experience, financial documentation preparation, and financial reporting at a corporate level
A minimum of 5 years working in an accounting role at a defense contractor is a must
Thorough knowledge and understanding of GAAP and FAR
Well-versed with general ledger (GL) transactions and capital expenditures (Capex)
US citizenship required
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred
