As a Staff Accountant, you will provide professional accounting and financial services, as well as be part of the guidance and strategic planning in a fast-growing and expanding company, in a leadership and management capacity.

This position is responsible for all the daily financial and accounting systems of the company, including the management and administration of many operational aspects of the company.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Critical thinker who desires to be a key leader in the company through leadership skills, fundamental involvement in all aspects of the business and serving as a liaison, resource, mentor and team member to the entire staff.
  • Develop and teach technical skills to help others grow in their positions and expand the company.
  • Drive all accounting activities including, but not limited to daily cash transactions, daily recording of AP & AR transactions, controls, banking, compliance with all state and federal agencies, and assist with the preparation of reports and financial statements for Controller, Managing Partner, and other key stakeholders.
  • Aid in the Development of, oversee, and implement improvements and procedures in the operation and management of the main operating system, (EPIC) and help streamline and improve the performance of all personnel by developing better procedures, controls, reporting and ease of transaction for employees and clients alike.
  • Help establish and maintain accounting controls over assets, liabilities and expenses and oversee the development and improvements in operating efficiencies, forecasting and developing budgets as well as providing critical thinking necessary to build and expand the business.
  • Manage all banking activity including accounts, deposits, A/P's, A/R's, ACH and wire transactions.
  • Oversee personnel including monitoring PTO and reporting and maintaining accurate and timely HR reports and records.
  • Oversee the IT operations needs of the company and manage IT resources including third-party resources, hardware, software, and the security/access of the system.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree Required.
  • Proficient in Excel; experience with Epic is highly beneficial.
