Job Description: Geologist – Mineral Drilling and Exploration

Excited about the prospect of joining a groundbreaking project in mineral identification and discovery in the United States? Read on for more details

Sequence is currently recruiting a geological exploration team for our client, a leading international mining and exploration company. We are looking to hire two Geologists to work under the Geological Exploration Manager, conducting drilling and sample/data collection activities.

This project is at the forefront of geological exploration efforts in the United States, focusing on high-value deposits previously identified in confidential project areas.

The selected team will be responsible for air-core drilling, sample collection, and data activities at various locations, with future plans for deeper drill testing of additional targets.

We are seeking two skilled Geologists to join the team and fulfill the following responsibilities under the Exploration Manager's guidance:

  • Function as a Site Supervisor, overseeing all drilling and sampling operations.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, particularly regarding EHS and technical procedures.
  • Collaborate with land access personnel to conduct drilling according to agreed conditions.
  • Support the planning and execution of field programs logistics.
  • Assist in desktop reviews, recces, and other generative activities alongside corporate geological staff.

Applicants should have a BS in Geology, Earth Sciences, or related fields, with a strong background in managing drilling programs. Experience in outdoor project work and proficiency in GPS and relevant software for reporting and communication are preferred.

While prior drilling and field experience is essential, training on unique minerals and processes will be provided due to the specialized nature of this project. The role involves extensive travel (approximately 80%) to project sites, offering a chance to be part of an exciting exploration initiative within a respected organization.

In addition to a competitive salary, the role includes coverage of all travel expenses and a field stipend while on project assignments. The company also provides a comprehensive benefits package encompassing Health (PPO), Dental, Vision, 401k, PTO, FSA Program, Life Insurance, AD&D Insurance, Short- and Long-Term Disability Coverage, and more.
